Tips to make your search more successful:

Know your square footage needs, office sizes, and/or head count of people in the office. If you need help determining the size check out our Space Needs Calculator.

Check Craigslist—Craigslist replaced the newspaper many years ago and is still a great place to find small and shared offices.

We recommend being up front with the property agent and specify the building and suite you are interested in. If the quoted total rent is more than your budget ask for suggestions of other locations.

Ask about the ownership. Many of the smaller buildings are locally owned by small business owners (like you) and they want to know the character of their tenants as you should know theirs.

Be prepared to complete a Rental Application and provide personal financial information.
