North I-680 Industrial Market Was Unchanged In The Second Quarter – The North I-680 industrial market was unchanged in the second quarter. Leasing activity was concentrated in tenant relocations throughout the market with a lack of new tenants entering from the surrounding area. The market registered 6,804 square feet of negative net absorption and vacancy seems to be stabilizing. Vacancy registered a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points to 13.2 percent. Landlords responded to the lack of activity and asking rents fell $0.03 per square foot (PSF) to $0.58 PSF. Concord led the market in net absorption registering 45,250 square feet while Antioch gave back 79,513 square feet as new industrial space came to market.
